Vientiane
is the charming and fascinating
capital of
Laos
. This small town conjures up exotic images,
with the curious mix of Lao, Thai, Chinese,
Vietnamese, French influences. We explore
the town this afternoon; with Wat Sisaket
which is the oldest temple still standing in
Vientiane
. This amazing structure features remarkable
frescoes and Buddha images. The following
sight is Haw Prakeo, the former royal
temple
of
Laos
monarchy, where previously housed the famous
Emerald Buddha Statue. We then visit the
imposing
Patuxay
Monument
, which is well known as
Vientiane
's own Arc de Triumph before continuing to the
famous That Luang Stupa.
After your delicious lunch of Lao cuisine, we
are heading out the town, journeys
northwards Vang Vieng, the drive takes you
through the spectacular countryside towards
the mountain region. We reach our today
final destination, Vang Vieng, which is
nestled on a bend of the
Nam
Song
River. The small and tranquil
village
of
Vang Vieng
is rapidly developed with the advent of
tourist, but the beautiful scenery with a
mixture of quiet water and limestone
outcrops unchanged for century. After
checking into hotel we take a wander to
catch our first glimpse of this hill
town.Overnight in Vang Vieng.
Day 4 Vang Vieng - Luang
Prabang (by road) (B)
Breakfast, Upon
leaving Vang Vieng, the roads begin to
deteriorate; however the stunning mountain
scenery makes for an interesting journey. We
wind our way through Kasi and
Phoukhoune to Luang Prabang. This town
with its gleaming temple roofs, fading
colonial architecture and stunning mountain
backdrop has been claimed by UNESCO to be
"the best preserved traditional city in
South East Asia
". There is little traffic on Luang Prabang
roads and monks in orange robes scurry in
all directions carrying umbrellas to shade
themselves from the Sun.

Day 5 Luang Prabang - Pak
Ou - Khouangsi (B)
This morning you may
want to wake up early and participate in the
daily early morning ritual of saffron-clad
monks with their black Alms-giving
bowls being given offerings from the local
people, including the ubiquitous sticky
rice.
Am After breakfast,
we visit The National Museum at the
former Royal Palace, which displays a
lovely collection of the artifacts
reflecting the richness of Lao culture
dating from the days of the early kings
right through the last sovereign, then
transfer to boat pier, We then board a
cruise upstream on the
Mekong
River
, which also gives us a taste of the tranquil
countryside and an interesting visit to the
mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed
with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha
statues of various shapes and sizes. Along
the way, we stop at Ban Xang Hai to visit
the rice wine distillation.
Pm Continue driving to the
beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where
you can splash around in the pools or walk
along the forest paths, return to Luang
Prabang by late afternoon and continue to
Ban Phanom, a well known weaving
village, return to the city by late evening
for observing the sunset at Wat
Siphouthabath. Overnight in Luang
Prabang
Day 6 Luang Prabang -
Xieng Khouang (by road) (B)
Early morning, we
are driving toward Xiengkhouang, the road is
stunning, but the scenery is perfect for a
leisure drive, we step down and visit Hmong
Villages along the way, we arrive in
Phonesavanh by lunch and proceed to visit
Plain of jars. The Xieng Khouang is one of
the heaviest bombing in
Laos
by
US
air strike once
Indochina
war, which was devastated by American bombing
between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival, we
transfer out to visit the Plain of Jars,
an impressive archaeological site where
hundreds of large stone jars are littered
all over the plateau. We also have time,
this afternoon seeing the old capital of
Muang
Khoun
Province
and the nearby villages, home to the Hmong
hill tribe and Tai Dam people.
They have an interesting local culture and a
colorful history. Overnight in Phonsavanh
Day 7 Xieng Khouang -
Namkhanh Border - Vinh (by road) (B)
Early morning, we
visit Central Market of Phonsavanh to
watch different Hill Tribes to barter and
exchange merchandises. Then heading out the
this small town to Vang Vieng, on the way,
we drop off and see a site more than 200
years old Buddha images in Thampra
and varied Hmong and varied hill tribe
minority villages along the road. They are
nice, friendly and welcome you to visit.
After a photo stop, we continue driving up
hill, enjoying mountain splendid natural
scenery, forest and landscape.
Continue to Laos-Vietnam
border ( Namkhanh)-after immigration
formalities then depart to Vinh City. Lunch
on route- arrive Vinh City late afternoon
Check-in and Dinner at the hotel Visit The
Ho Chi Minh Square and return to hotel for
Over night.
