TOUR SUMMARY
Cycle to the most incredible temples in the
world and absorb the unique atmosphere around
Angkor and the surrounding countryside. Follow
rural trails visiting Wat Trak temple, Banteay
Samre, Siem Reap and of course, the incredible
Angkor Wat.
ITINERARY
Morning: Siem Reap - Wat Trak - Banteay Samre
(Cycling distance 31 kilometers)
Depart early morning for a
leisurely ride along misty rural trails to Siem
Reap. Visit Wat Trak temple. After visit,
continue to Banteay Samre area and stop near the
temple for lunch.
Afternoon: Banteay Samre - Ta Prohm - Siem Reap (Cycling distance
25 kilometers)
After lunch, easy cycling along unpaved trails
and paved roads until the Ta Prohm temple. Then
cycle back to Siem Reap passing the Victory
Gate, Death Gate, Bayon, and Angkor Wat. On the
return journey, ride ride along a small forest
and along a riverside track to your hotel. (6
kms partly sandy). In the afternoon mainly good
paved roads.
Remarks:
- An escort vehicle for transfer will be used
from the hotel to starting point of the ride. It
is possible to start the ride directly from the
hotel but it will enlarge the distance longer
(around + 5 kilometers).
- Escort vehicle will meet the cycling group at
the different meeting points all along the ride.
- Having an 'œentrance pass' is not required for
visiting Wat Trak but for other temple visits,
it is.
- The biggest cycling part is done in the
morning.
- It is advised to start early in the morning
(leaving the hotel around 07:00)
- Visits to Bantey Samre and Ta Phrom are
possible, also other temples located on the
small circuit, if time permits. For security
reasons the ride will stop at dusk and transfer
to hotel by escort vehicle.
