Detail Itinerary

Day 1 : Bali - Jayapura - Wamena (D)
00:30 hrs Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Ngurah Rai airport to board flight to Jayapura
02:30 hrs Depart via Timika to Jayapura
08:40 hrs Arrive Jayapura Sentani Airport, meet and greet with our representative, continue with a short flight to Wamena, takes about 45 minutes. Upon arrival in Wamena, directly transfer to the Baliem Valley Resort

Day 2 : Wamena - Sinakma - Wesaput and surrounding (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the resort
In the morning drive from the resort to the big native market in front of the town. Here you can meet hundreds of Dani who sell their agrarian products every day. Traditional arts and crafts like stone axes, grass nets, arrows and bows are sold, too. Drive to the local market near the Wamena bridge. We will visit the water power station at the upper course of the beautiful Wamena-River. Lunch will be served en route (picnic lunch / lunch box) surrounded by wonderful nature. Drive on to the powerful Baliem-River near Wesaput, where a big suspension bridge has to be crossed due to the traditional Dani hamlets on the other side of the river that we want to visit. Before we drive back to the resort you have the possibility to make some small purchases in Wamena.

Day 3 : Simply trekking to Southern Baliem Valley (B/L/D)
Breakfast at hotel, full day exploring the Baliem Valley area visit Southern Dani and village surrounding by charter taxi to Sogokmo and take a simply trek through Dani gardens and will be nice view of Baliem gorge and landscape. Talk to the people on the way through the guide and interpreter while they are working in the gardens. Picnic Lunch will serve by box. Afternoon drive back to Wamena for dinner and stay overnight at Baliem Valley Resort hotel.

Day 4 : Traditional Pig Cooking Party (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the resort
You will experience all day long traditional "ig - festival" in an old Dani-hamlet within the Resorts area or in the Jiwika region. Many dressed up clan members in traditional costumes celebrate the party with us. A "pig-festival" with the hot stones and the earth pits is probably the most interesting thing to see on a travel to Irian Jaya. Photographs and movie makers will totally be satisfied to day. The unique of such an event can hardly be described by words. You have to see it with your own eyes. A picnic lunch or lunch boxes will be served inside the hamlet. Of course there is also the opportunity for each guest to eat out of the traditional earth pit. The fresh pig meat and the sweet potatoes taste delicious. Return to the resort in the late afternoon.

Day 5 : Wamena - Jayapura (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the resort
Transfer from the resort to Wamena and take a short flight to Jayapura.
Upon arrival direct city sightseeing of Jayapura. We will visit Cendrawasih Museum, is cultural museum, and local Market Hamadi, is one of the most fascinating in the area. Plenty of stalls along the main road sell souvenirs, including tacky mass-produced Baliem and Asmat art. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.

Day 6 : Jayapura - Bali (B)
Breakfast at the hotel
After breakfast transfer to Jayapura Sentani Airport to board your flight to Denpasar
10:00 hrs Depart via Timika to Denpasar
Upon arrival in Denpasar, transfer to your Bali hotel or continue your trip to your next destination
