KHOUANG
SI WATERFALLS
EXCURSION, 1 DAY
Heading
out of the town, we travel south to Ban Xom, a lowland Lao
hill tribe village which is well known for its cotton
production. After a short walk around this village, we make
our way up to the source of Khouang Si Waterfalls to visit
Ban Nam Ok Hou, home to the Khmu hill tribe people. They are
very poor , but have rich and interesting culture. The
remainder of the day is free at the beautifull Khouang Si
Waterfalls. The water tumbling over multi tiered limestone
formations into the cool and clear pool makes it an ideal
place for anyone seeking an enjoyable escape when the heat
becomes unbearable. The trip ends after arrival in Luang
Prabang. (L)
