Nam Tha Explorer

The Nam Tha River is the traditional water borne
artery of North-West Laos. Heading south from
Luang Namtha, the river cuts through sections of
the Nam Ha NPA revealing some beautiful stands
of old growth forest.
This trip takes you from Luang Namtha to the
border town of Thailand and Laos, staying in
villages along the way you get a unique insight
into Lao peoples traditional lives. |

exciting 2 to 3 grade rapids, while passing
through forests that are still home to
endangered large mammals such as Tiger, Leopard

portion of luck - the occasional rare animal or
its tracks can be spotted on the riverbanks. |

Nam Ha-Nam Tha Adventure

This 4-day tour takes the paddlers down
two scenic rivers, before moving up the Mekong
towards Thailand in a long-tail boat. In the
forests of the Nam Ha National Protected Area,
there's much to learn about the local flora and
fauna. Encounters with the diverse ethnic groups
of the region are just some of the unique
experiences along the way.

Pak Ou District Explorer

This tour takes you into several villages
of the most prominent ethnic groups in Nothern
Laos: the Khmu and Hmong. The Khmu are also
called "Laos Theung" and settle at a medium
altitude, the latter, sometimes called "Laos
Soung", live in high regions along the mountain
ridges.
You will see two scenic waterfalls on day 3.
Days 4/5 are spent kayaking and relaxing in the
rural setting of the Lower Nam Ou River. |
