This trip carefully designed for individual traveller who want to explore both the scenic countryside and also the rural life by cruising through the large Ayeyarwaddy Delta. In conjunction with this cruise ship, we also include a few days on Ngwe Saung Beaches which offer visitors a great chance to soak up much sea and sun as they want .

DAY 1: YANGON - PATHEIN ( DELTA QUEEN)

An early afternoon transfer to the Nan Thida Jetty in front of Strand hotel to board Delta Queen ship for an impressive river trip to Pathein. Upon leaving Yangon we weave our way via Twante and pass through the intricate network of canals which are the lifeblood of the Irrawaddy Delta. This vast basin stretches from the Bago Range to the coast of the Bengal Bay and receives year around drainage from several major rivers including the Irrawaddy, Hlaing and Ngawun. The pace of our trip is very relaxed, a perfect way to observe the rural life close up. O/N on board. (D)

DAY 2: PATHEIN - NGWE SAUNG BEACH

The river cruise continues along the Pathein River which also gives us a spectacular view of the sunrise over the tranquil countryside. After breakfast, we arrive at our final destination, Pathein and disembark Delta Queen ship for a two hour drive to Ngwe Saung Beach which is situated on the west coast of Myanmar. The remainder of the day is free for your well - earned rest on a beach. O/N in Ngwe Saung. (B)

DAY 3 & 4: NGWE SAUNG BEACH

The endless white sand beaches, the turquoise water and the charming fishing villages make Ngwe Saung an ideal place for any one seeking an enjoyable escape. On these free days, you can soak up as much sun and sea as you want by spending your time on the turquoise water enjoying swimming or lazing on a beach. There are also some possibilities to visit some nearby villages and local markets, explore the countryside by bike or take a boat trip to the magnificent offshore islands. These optional trips are not included , however hotel receptionist are on hand to advise you with invaluable information. O/N in Ngwe Saung. (B)

DAY 5: NGWE SAUNG  - PATHEIN ( DELTA QUEEN)

Today we spend a half day relaxing on a beach until transferring back to Pathein to board again the Delta Queen. The river journey begins as we depart Pathein and navigate back to the Irrawaddy Delta, the largest rice bowl of Myanmar. A part of the pleasure of travelling in this region is the simple joy of seeing the rice fields and the smiling faces of the people. O/N on board. (B,D)

DAY 6:  ARRIVAL  - YANGON

The cruise arrives in Yangon this morning. The trip ends after transfer to your hotel. (B)
