Stunningly beautiful, Pagsanjan falls should not be
missed by visitors to the Philippines. The tour
takes two hours from Manila to the Pagsanjan town of
Laguna. In a riverside resort, guests will be
paddled up by boatmen in a dug out banca or canoe to
the Pagsanjan river.
The boatride which passes through 14
rapids is the most exciting part of the tour. Expertly maneuvered by
boatmen between rocks and boulders, the canoe is strewn from the
impressive towering gorge that leads to the main falls.
For a more thrilling adventure, opt
for a bamboo raft-ride that goes up to a cave behind the falls. A
sumptuous buffet lunch awaits at the river side resort after the
exhilarating ride.
