Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Bangkok - Ayutthaya
- Phitsanulok (L)
Start your journey with an early pick up from
the hotel and travel by an air-conditioned van
to visit Bang Pa In Palace, the Royal Summer
Palace, and Ayutthaya Historical Park. After
lunch, continue to Pitsanuloke. Visit Wat Phra
Si Ratana Maha That, where Phra Buddha Chinnaraj
is housed. This is one of the most beautiful
Buddha statues of Thailand. Overnight at
your hotel.
Day 2: Phitsanulok -
Sukhothai - Sri Satchanalai - Lampang (B,L)
After breakfast travel for about one hour to
Sukothai and visit the Sukhothai Historical Park
& Si Satchanalai Historical Park. Continue the
trip on a scenic route to Lampang, where you
will with visit to the amazing Wat Phra That
Chom Ping and the magnificent Wat Phra That
Lampang Luang. In the afternoon, check-in at
Lampang Wiengthong Hotel. Enjoy the evening with
a city tour by horse-drawn carriage for about
one hour. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Lampang - Phayao -
Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle - Mae Sai (B,L)
After breakfast travel to Phayao (131 km), where
you will visit Kwan Phayao and Wat Sri Komcome,
the oldest temple in Payao. Continue the trip to
Chiang Rai (94 km). After a delicious lunch
travel further to Chiang Saen, the ancient first
Northern Thai capital from where you will carry
on to the Golden Triangle where Myanmar, Laos
and Thailand meet. Board a boat to enjoy a trip
on the mighty Mekong River for about 45 minutes
for sightseeing of Myanmar and Laos border
region. From here you will visit Ban Sai Khao, a
village of Laos located on the bank of Mekong
River. After the river cruise, travel to Mae
Sai, the trading town at the Myanmar - Thai
border. Here is a lively town where hilltribes
from Myanmar come to sell their handicrafts.
Continue to travel into the town of Chiang Rai.
After dinner enjoy an evening walk at the lively
Night Bazaar of Chiang Rai, where many hill
tribes sell their products. This provides an
excellent chance to purchase souvenirs for
friends and relatives. Overnight at your
hotel.
Days 4: Chiang Rai - Doi
Mae Salong - Hilltribes - Fang - Chiang Mai

After breakfast you will be driven to Doi Mae
Salong to visit the Hilltribes - Yao Village,
Lisu Village & Akha Village and "Jin Hor"
(Chinese migrated from Yunnan). Continue the
trip to Tha Ton, Fang, and Chiang Dao Buddhist
Caves where stunning stalactites and stalagmites
will await you. In the late afternoon, you will
arrive in Chiang Mai. Check-in at Chiang Mai
Gate Hotel or Holiday Garden Hotel. Enjoy a
traditional northern style Kantoke Dinner.
Overnight at your hotel.
Day 5: Chiang Mai -
Elephant Riding - Rafting - Chiang Mai (B,L)
After breakfast you will visit the Mae Taeng
Elephant Camp for a one hour elephant riding
into the beautiful valley of Mae Taeng, and
ox-carting to visit a Northern village, Mae
Taman Village(1/2 hrs.). Enjoy a buffet lunch at
the Elephant Nature Park. After lunch you can
take part in Bamboo rafting followed by a return
to Chiang Mai. The afternoon is at leisure.
After dinner visit the Night Bazaar where you
can try your hand at bargaining. Overnight
at your hotel.
Day 6: Chiang Mai -
Hilltribes Museum - Doi Suthep - Bangkok (B,L)
After breakfast you will visit the Hilltribes
Museum and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep on Suthep
Hill. This is the most revered temple in Chiang
Mai. After lunch, transfer to Chiang Mai
Airport, from where you will take the domestic
flight TG111 to return to Bangkok.
