As of April 10, the fares for the
north-south train will decrease by 7-15%
to return to the previous prices, after
just ten days of increase.
The Vietnam Railways Corporation raised
the fares for the north-south train by
7-15% on April 1. However, after the
Prime Minister issued his guidance on
not raising the prices of ten essential
goods, including train tickets, the
corporation had to reduce the fares.
As a result, the train fares will back
to normal as of April 10. However,
passengers who have bought tickets from
April 1-10 will have to pay the higher
fares.
