Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival (D)
Welcome to Vietnam, transfer of 45 min to your
hotel in town. Welcome dinner and enjoy water
puppet show at night. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi - city tour (B/L)
Leave at 8 a.m, on the three wheels of a cyclo
you will be guided through Hanoi history and
culture & people and to some other sights. This
tour draws to: the Ho Chi Minh complex, Temple
of literature, one of the Museums (Ethnology,
Fine Art, Army, Women, History...) with lunch at
restaurant then back to the Old Quarter for some
more exploration. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Hoa Binh - Maichau (B/L/D)
Pick up at your hotel and drive to the Thai
minority village of Mai Chau via Hoa Binh in the
heart of Tonkin. On the way, stop at Song Da
reservoir and then visit Muong and Dao minority
villages and learn about the traditional life of
the local people. Lunch in Hoa Binh before
continuing to the minority village of Mai Chau.
Dinner in Mai Chau. Overnight in a stilt house.
Day 4: Maichau - Hoalu (Thung Nang) - Ninh
Binh (B/L)
After breakfast transfer to Ninh Binh via
National road 12A. Check into your hotel. Local
lunch before going to Thung Nang by bicycle or
buffalo cart and boarding a small sampan for a
spectacular cruise through numerous waterways
and beautiful rural landscape of limestone
cliffs and paddy fields. Visit Bich Dong Pagoda
and Tam Coc Cave before returning to your hotel
.Overnight in Ninh Binh at Thuy Anh hotel.
Day 5: Ninh Binh - Phat Diem - Halong(B)
After breakfast, our guide will take you to
visit Hoa Lu - ancient capital of Vietnam in the
10 century and the remaining two temples of Dinh
King & Le King. Then leave Ninh Binh for Halong
bay. Hotel check in on arrival. Free at leisure
at night in Halong.
Day 6: Halong - Hanoi(B/L)
After breakfast, drive to Halong. On arrival,
board for a 5-hour cruise through the mystical
Halong Bay and admire one of the natural marvels
of Vietnam. Visit islets, natural caves and, if
weather permits, enjoy a swim in the clear
waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. For lunch, seafood
on board will delight you. Return to Hanoi in
the middle of the afternoon and transfer to your
hotel. (Accommodation in Hanoi not included).
