Day 1: Hanoi
- Yen Bai
Pick up from your hotel in
Hanoi
for departure to Yen Bai ( 4 hour drive ). Check into your hotel
before heading for lunch in Yen Bai town. After
lunch, transfer to
Thac
Ba
Lake - one of
Vietnam
’s three man-made lakes with more than 1,300 islands and
islets: romantic and magnificent scenery.
Cruising on Thac
Ba
Lake
to visit Thac Ba hydro-electric plant – the
first in
Vietnam
; visit Thuy Tien cave listening to the story of the nine
beautiful fairies, the moving love story of a
young couple. Continue to sail to Ngoi Tu
cultural village – home of the Dao,
Tay
and Cao Lan ethnic groups. Meet local people at
the village and exchange culture with the Dao,
Tay
and Cao Lan ethnic groups. Back to your hotel in
the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Yen
Bai. ( L, D )
Day 2: Yen Bai – Suoi Giang – Nghia Lo – Ancient Thai People
village
Pick up at your hotel and go straight to the
Suoi Giang ecological zone – looking at the
Tuyet tea trees – 30m high and 1m in diameter –
which are 300 years old, drinking a cup of tea
with some H’mong ethnic people. Go down and
continue to visit Nghia Lo town. Lunch, visit
Nghia Lo historical site marking the resistance
of the Yen Bai people against French aggression,
and ancient Thai people’s village to discover
their daily life. Dinner with the Muong Lo food
specialties while enjoying their folk
songs and Xoe dance. Overnight with local
family in their stilt house.
Day 3: Thai village – Muong Lo market – Ban Hoe hotspring – Yen Bai
Breakfast, farewell villagers and head back to
Nghia Lo town to visit Muong Lo market, and free
time for shopping and relaxing in the Ban Hoe
natural hot spring. Have lunch before returning
to Yen Bai to visit the manufacture of the
Gem-store paintings; watch the artists making
the beautiful paintings with gems. Dinner and
overnight in Yen Bai. ( B, L, D )
Day 4: Yen Bai - Hanoi
Depart back to
Hanoi
. Tour ends after arrival at your hotel. ( B )
