Detail Itinerary
Yok Don National Park is
located in the Mekong basin, in western
Dak
Lak
Province
far from
Ho Chi Minh city 350km
and Buon Me Thuot city 60km. The landscape of
Yok Don consists principally of dry dipterocarp
forest with semi-evergreen forest along
watercourses and patches of evergreen forest, as
on Yok Don hill. From the wildlife management
perspective point of view the single most
important landscape feature is the
Srepok
River
and its tributaries without access to which the area would not be
able to support any large mammal populations.
Yok Don
National Park
is also home to many important birds such as
Green Peafowl, Lesser
Adjutant, Woolly-necked Stork, woodpeckers
and Mekong Wagtail.
