What to expect:
Fansipan itself is an attraction of Sapa area as
well as Northern Vietnam. The peak is a part of
Hoang Lien mountain range, which is under the
protection of Hoang Lien National Park. The
trip offers you an opportunity to explore the
beautiful nature and challenge yourself.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Sapa - Heavens Gate - 2900m
(L,D)
You are having a
couple of interesting days waiting ahead.
You
travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where
you will be able to take a short walk to the
waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven
Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. From
there you can see Fansipan, the highest peak of
Indochina mountains as well as enjoy stunning
views. The trek will be relatively soft until
lunchtime.
After a couple of hours of hiking, you will have
a break at a nice spot in the forest and enjoy a
good lunch.
With new energy
you start ascending as well as descending
towards the campsite.
En
route you have many opportunities to enjoy the
scenery and magnificent views to Sapa area and
beautiful landscape of Lai Chau province. You
will arrive to the
campsite at 2900m
ASL in the late afternoon. Now it is time to
relax and enjoy a well prepared dinner.
Approx: Grade 3
of 5/ 0,5 hour driving/ 5 hours walking/ 1 hour
lunch.
Day 2: 2900m - the top of Fansipan - 2700m (B,L,D)
After
having breakfast, you climb to the top, where
you can celebrate your victory. From there, you
can enjoy the best view to beautiful sceneries.
You will then start descending. You stop on the
way at a nice spot for lunch.
After
lunch, you start the tough trek, which is all
the way downhill through rainforest. This part
requires a great concentration to step on steep
trail until you meet the campsite at 2700m ASL.
Here you spend another night in tent.
Approx: Grade 3
of 5/ 6 hours walking/ 1 hour lunch.
Day 3: 2700m - Sin Chai - Sapa
(B,L)
You
wake up in the fresh and pure morning in wild
nature, before heading back to civilization. You
trek downhill through well protected forest and
after a couple of hours of hiking, you stop for
lunch.
You
will then continue descending toward Sin Chai
village of Back Hmong minority. On the way you
will be able to enjoy valley views and beautiful
surrounding. You stop at the village for a while
before you go by car back to Sapa, where you can
celebrate your achievement and relax.
Approx: Grade 3
of 5/ 0,5 hour driving/ 6 hours walking/ 1 hour
lunch.
Note:
Climb a 3413m ASL Mountain in 3 days takes some
effort, endurance and plenty of high spirit. The
night will be spent in tent with toilet tent
provided. The trip is not recommended in bad
weather due to safety. The campsite places are
subjected to change due to the size of groups
and weather conditions, which will effect
relatively to the grade level and hours of
working on some days.

Detail Itinerary
Day1: Hanoi - Lao Cai
The first night, guide and car pick you up from
your hotel in
Hanoi
, transfer to Hanoi Station for LC5 Train, soft sleeper, AC.
Overnight on train
Day 2:
Hanoi - Sapa (B)
Picked up from Laocai Train Station to Sapa,
check in hotel. Morning at leisure you are free
to visit Sapa Culture Market, nice time to
discover the rich culture of ethnic people here.
Afternoon is your light exercise,
preparation for climbing tomorrow. Your guide
take you to Hamrong Mount to see the whole
fantastic view of the town, the paddy rice
fields .. You also see beautiful orchard,
orchid, flower gardens, cultural village with
the traditional stilt house of the Tay people,
collection of Sapa pictures (past and present),
music and dance performances of the ethnic
minorities in Sapa. It is special when walking a
little up to touch the cloud and see nice rocks
with strange shapes like dragon raw.
Day 3: Climbing (B, L, D)
We drive you to Tram
Ton
Pass the highest pass in
Vietnam
. From here, you will trek through bamboo and rainforest
and have opportunities to enjoy the beautiful
scenery and magnificent views. The base-camp is
at 2,900m (above the sea level). Evening time is
so romantic by the fire place and enjoying the
sounds of nature.
Day 4:
Summit (B, L,)
On your way up, you can enjoy even more
spectacular scenery and magnificent views. On
the top you will have spectacular views towards
LAOS AND CHINA and long beautiful valleys with
white clouds, villages and
Sapa
Town . In the
afternoon, you are back to Sapa, shower in hotel
before coming down to Laocai for the night train
back to
Hanoi .
Note:
To conquer Fanxipan within 2 days takes some
effort, endurance and plenty of high spirit. We
recommend that you stay another night in Sapa
for resting.
