Day 1: Hanoi - Vu Linh
Day 2: Vu Linh - Luc Yen - Bac Ha
Day 3: Luc Yen - Xin Man
Day 4: Xin Man - Bac Ha
Day 5: Bac Ha - Lao Cai - Hanoi
Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Vu Linh. ~180 km
Easy drive to on the sealed road to Thac Ba Lake
and follow the little road to Vu Linh. Vu Linh
is a Dzao village by the side of the lake, very
friendly people and the welcome is exceptional.
Day 2: Vu Linh - Luc Yen - Bac Ha. ~80 km
Nice road along the lake until Luc Yen. Luc Yen
is a small city famous for its ruby.
Accommodation at the guesthouse or at the Dzao
village.
Day 3: Luc Yen - Xin Man. ~120 km
Secondary road. We go up until the Chinese
border. This area is mainly populated by Flower
H'mong.
A superb hotel of nowhere awaits us in Xin Man.
Well deserved rest.
Day 4: Xin Man - Bac Ha. ~60 km
Quiet cruising next to the Chinese border. Short
stage that let us time to enjoy this amazing
scenery. Night in hotel.
Day 5: Bac Ha - Lao Cai - Hanoi. ~150 km
We visit the surrounding of Bac Ha riding our
bikes or walking. Lots of hill tribes. After the
lunch, we go down to Lao Cai (34 km) and take a
train to come back to Hanoi.

yourself at any time during each of these days
how far you want to cycle. Average daily cycling
distances are approximately 60 -100 km. These
distances may vary according to weather, road
conditions and group fitness and preferences.
This is a sightseeing cycle tour, not a marathon
or time trial.
