Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Vu Linh. ~180 km
Easy drive & ride to on the sealed road to Thac
Ba Lake and follow the little road to Vu Linh.
Vu Linh is a Dzao village by the side of the
lake, very friendly people and the welcome is
exceptional.
Day 2: Vu Linh - Song Thao. ~180 km
We will cruise on the lake from east to west,
until Yen Binh. Ride from Vu Linh to Song Thao,
we will ride through limestone and palm trees,
on asphalted road and dirt roads. Song Thao is a
very small village lost in the hills on west
bank of Black river. The particular thing is
that this is the place where we grow lacquer
trees to collect the precious substance called
lacquer. We are welcome in the house of our
friends. You meet Kinh (ethnic Vietnamese). We
propose to stay in the house of the two
"uncles", direct descendant of the ancestor who
discovered the property of this tree and the way
to use it, about four hundreds years ago (quite
recently compared to China who knew about
lacquer few thousands years ago).
Day 3: Song Thao - Nghia Lo. ~150 km
Easy ride on sealed road. Drive & Bikes through
rural areas with beautiful rice field along the
road.
Day 4: Nghia Lo - Mu Cang Chai - Than Uyen.
~140 km
The road is wild and bumpy. Between Sapa and
Hanoi, we will find an important mountainous
massif, almost as high as the Fansipan: the Mu
Cang Chai. From the top, we have one of the most
beautiful views of North Vietnam.
Day 5: Than Uyen - Sapa. End. ~120 km
Walk / stroll in the morning. Direction
Sapa. Arrive in Sapa in the afternoon. The guide
and driver will ride down to Lao Cai for the
train to Hanoi at 8 pm
